AdMission Expands IPIX Offering from Imaging to Advertising Solutions
SAN RAMON, CA, June 14, 2004 – IPIX AdMission, a provider of directional advertising solutions, today announced the availability of AdMission™ – a hosted media platform providing publishers with turn-key products that enable local advertisers to easily create online ads that showcase their businesses, products and services, without requiring graphics expertise. AdMission builds on the standard set by IPIX Rimfire imaging technology and adds additional features and improved functionality important to local advertisers, consumers and publishers.

The first two product solutions built on the AdMission platform, AdMission Classifieds™ and AdMission Directories™, are aimed at newspapers, yellow pages and local search providers. AdMission Directories is easily integrated directly into a publisher’s website. AdMission Classifieds can be integrated directly into a publisher’s website or through an ad-order entry system partner who has already integrated AdMission into their product offering. AdMission Classifieds, which is being launched at the NAA NEXPO show in June 2004, is a full-featured application for creating enhanced photo ads for both online and in print classifieds.
AdMission Classifieds features include:
- Simple template-driven ad creation with WYSIWYG previews;
- Automated, batch processing for image file formats, resolution, file size and color space per publications specifications;
- Automatic email confirmations on completed ads to the publisher and advertiser; and
- Photos presented in an interactive viewer on the same page as classified listing search results, allowing consumers to quickly view slideshows and expanded descriptions of the items for sale and communicating the value in seconds.
AdMission Directories, available for preview at NEXPO 2004, provides newspaper, yellow page and directory publishers with a solution for local advertisers as an up-sell to text only and static display ads. The results are enhanced display ads with key business facts, rich media and printable coupons so consumers can make informed decisions directly within the context of a search listing. Key features of this new product include interactive display ads featuring rich photo capabilities, maps and driving directions, product descriptions, printable promotional coupons, web links and more. IPIX will be demonstrating the AdMission Directories product with integrated technology from Interchange Corporation’s Local Direct™ search and advertising platform. AdMission Directories with Local Direct™ is a turnkey solution for newspapers who want a comprehensive advertising solution with powerful local search functionality.
